Metal Bonded Diamond Wheel Has Long Been Widely Used

Diamond wheel is for grinding carbide, glass, ceramics, precious stones and other high hard and brittle materials. In recent years, with the rapid development of high-speed grinding and ultra-precision grinding technology, the grinding wheel was put forward higher requirements. Vitrified and resin bond grinding wheel have been unable to meet the needs of production.  Metal bonding wheel has been widely used because of its high bonding strength, good shape, long service life and other significant features in the production.

 

Sintered diamond wheels

    Sintered grinding wheel is use bronze and other metals as a binder, made by high temperature sintering method. It has high bonding strength, good shape, high temperature resistance, good thermal conductivity and wear resistance, long life. And can withstand the larger load. Because the grinding wheel in the sintering process inevitably will cause shrinkage and deformation, so the wheel must be dressing before use. But the wheel dressing is more difficult. At present, the grinding wheel used in the production is not only time-consuming and laborious in the dressing, but also remove many diamond particles in the dressing process. The grinding wheel consumes very much and has lower precision. In recent years, scholars have carried out the application of special processing methods to repair the metal bond diamond grinding wheel. Like mainly electrolytic dressing method, EDM and composite repair method. Electrolytic dressing method is fast, but the precision of plastic surgery is not high; EDM dressing has high precision, both plastic surgery can be sharpened, but the shaping speed is slower; composite trimming method has electrolytic EDM dressing method, mechanical chemical composite finishing method And so on. The finishing effect is better, but the system is more complex, so sintered diamond grinding wheel dressing problem is still not well resolved.
